Hex Cheat

Save your game, and note how many credits you have.

Open up the savegame in an hex editor (the first save game is named X0.SAV then X1.SAV etc etc) DO NOT try and edit X99.SAV, it’s the save game list.

Open up windows calculator, switch to scientific view. type in your credits *withouth the comma* ie. if you have 298.35 credits, you type in 29835 and click Hex.

It will give you the value of 12A, since in hex each number is represented by 2 digits, simply put a zero at the start so it makes 012A.

Wait for him to stop chasing you, then run behind him. Hit him once or twice, then option for your special will appear. When you use your special, you will grab his tail. Spin him around and toss him. After several tosses, he will stand weak in the middle. Run up to him and use your special.

Best Approach And Attack

When scouting for enemies use Wolverine’s heightened senses. Once you have spotted an enemy, make sure you are close enough to see them clearly, but not be spotted. If you watch them for a few moments in heightened senses mode, a faint hazy figure of Wolverine will demonstrate the best approach and attack.

Be wary of the power-up question marks. Yes, they can be neat, but they often hide a land mine that can take out a trooper or an alien in one burst.

Rockets and blaster bolts affect not only what they hit, but also everything in adjacent squares. So although a rocket launcher’s range is six tiles, it can damage seven tiles (six tiles plus a one-tile fragmentation range).

Use the Move and Fire order to duck out of a door, snap off a shot, and then duck back inside. This hides your soldier from return fire during your opponent’s turn.

Save Elerium

When you finish building a new ship, load it with the weapons (Plasma Beam for both weapons is recommended). When it is fully charged and ready for flight, transfer it to another base. When it gets to the base, immediately send it out on patrol. Click the ship and you will see that its fuel is 0%. That means it will not run out of fuel. Make sure that when you send the ship out on patrol, send it to the opposite side of the planet or a long way from your base. This allows you to catch the ship after it attacks the enemy before it can return to base. This is best done with the FireStorm craft. They are cheap and quick to build. The firepower is just as good as the Avenger, which cost lots more and takes longer to build.
