When racing in Underground mode or against a friend, never use the emergency brake (L). Using it will almost make you come to a complete stop, allowing your opponent to pass you. The best way is to just let off the gas for a few seconds before your next turn.

Wait for demo mode to begin, then hold Select and rapidly tap L, R repeatedly. When the demonstration is about to end press Start but keep Select held while tapping L and R. Keep tapping them until you hear a voice say “It’s in the game”. If done correctly, then you should get the Budcat and Tiburon teams in exhibition mode and 1000 points for creating a player.

Zamboni in introduction sequence

Defeat Bat Guy

Stand on top of one of the two platforms, and then hit him with jumping slashes when he is clinging from the ceiling. The bat guy himself isn’t much of a problem provided you stay out of his pattern. If he clings on the ceiling and remains still, go for it. To get rid of the bats, try to hit as many as possible with jumping slashes, being careful not to land on some bat coming from below. You can also try shooting at them from a distance. If the screen gets full of bats, use the magic to wipe them all out.
